It’s no secret that Usher Raymond and his ex-wife Tameka endured one nasty divorce. Now, years after their split, “The Voice” judge sounds off on the lessons he learned during his marriage to the celebrity stylist.
In a recent interview with O, The Oprah Magazine’s September 2014 issue, Raymond says, “getting married at 28″ was the best mistake he’s ever made!
“Most people probably think I regret it because I ended up getting divorced,” said Raymond, “but it helped me learn that sometimes I think I know more than I actually do.”
In 2007, the couple wed in a private ceremony. They later split in 2009 over allegations that the “Let It Burn” singer had stepped out on Tameka. After a grueling custody battle, Usher walked away with custody of his two sons, Usher V, 6, and Navivyd, 5.
